The boys’ golf team won their second consecutive state title at Reflection Ridge Golf Club in Wichita. They shot a team score of 298 to beat Olathe East by seven shots. Third was captured by Olathe Northwest.
The team consisted of juniors Henry Simpson, Conner Schrock, Tucker Clark, Zack Kasmiskie, sophomore Chase Hanna and freshman John Sallaz.
“It feels great [to win] because it’s back to back years and the fact that we have everyone back makes us even more proud of what we accomplished with such a young team,” junior Henry Simpson said.
Scores were low today and East was able to win the title without a problem.
“The course is tough, but the weather made the scoring conditions very good.”
