“To me, the most appealing thing about Lancer Dancers is the bond and how close-knit we are inside of drill team and outside of drill team as well,” Cox said. “My favorite part about tryouts is the mock-trial that the seniors put on for us Thursday morning. It allows us to laugh and loosens us up for tryouts. I’m most looking forward to nationals next year. It was such an amazing experience and a trip that I will cherish in my heart forever.”

“I love getting to work with all of my team mates and how much of a close family we get to be!” Meiring said. “Tryouts is a good experience for the future, but honestly it is super stressful. I’m glad to make one of the teams on Drill Team, so I can have some more fun with these girls.”

“I love getting to know a group of girls that all share the same interest in dancing as I do,” Matthews said. “It’s amazing being able to perform in front of your peers. Mock trials is the best part of tryouts. They’re always the most fun part. That and practicing and trying out with my partner, Gracie. We always have so much fun. I’m looking forward to being able to get to know the team and performing!”

“It’s great getting to know new people each year,” Wooldridge said. “I have made life long friends and dancing for the school is really fun. The mock try out that the current seniors do the morning of tryouts is funny. I’m looking forward to bonding and making new sisters, and also being a senior and having a ‘little sister.'”

“The best part of Lancer Dancers is doing what I love when it involves my school,” Guignon said. “The mock try out is the best part of tryouts for sure. It loosens up everyone’s tension and it’s so funny. Bonding with my team and performing at basketball games will be the best part of next year.”
