Ian Schutt is a senior at SME and this is his first year in staff as a multimedia team member and an anchor. Outside of Harbie you can find Ian on the soccer field, playing lots of Star Wars video games, and hanging out with his friends. Avery Walker is a senior at Shawnee Mission East and has been on staff for one year. He is the Video Editor. When he isn’t making videos for The Harbinger you can find him working and hanging out with friends. He is excited to improve his skills as a staffer this year and learn as much about journalism as possible. »
Robbie Veglahn is a senior at Shawnee Mission East and the co-Editor-in-Chief of The Harbinger. As much as he loves getting into heated arguments with Reser or singing Les Mis on deadline, there’s nothing he loves more than helping staffers grow. Outside of the J-room, he’s the captain of the lacrosse team and a member of the Chamber Choir. This is his third year on staff. »
(bhenschel.com) Senior Ben Henschel only has a few weeks left on staff, but he's holding on to every minute. As the 2019-20 Kansas Student Journalist of the Year, and runner-up National Journalist of the Year, he designed the current Harbinger site and manages published stories, as well as writing in-depths, local news and op-eds. He also runs broadcasts with the team, taking point on anchoring most games. Henschel is also in charge of promoting published content on The Harbinger's social media platforms. »
