Girls’ Golf — Week 4

The girls’ golf team competed in the MO-KAN Invitiational at Blue Hills Country Club on Sept. 19. The tournament consisted of 2o teams (93 players). It was the one tournamnet of the season that the team had the oppportunity to play against Missouri schools.

The course had a difficult layout and had greens with many ridges. The girls found the greens hard to read and putts rarely fell. Blue Hills also played longer than any other course the Lancers have played all season.

The team finished third (364) followed by Garden City (345) and Blue Valley North (337). Junior Anne Willman tied for first (77) with Abby Campbell (Garden City).

The Lancers look to defend their Sunflower League Title this Thursday at Alvamar in Lawrence (second leg of three).
