Soundslide: Girls’ Swim Team at League

The girls’ swim team won their ninth league title this year. Senior Tierinan Shank, Sarah Freshncok, Meg Stanley, and Freshman Sarah Allegri broke the school record in the 400 free relay. The girls also took home many first place titles in individual races.

Head Coach Search Committee Selects Delaney

A search committee was assembled to search for a replacement for past head football coach Chip Sherman. After several weeks, they selected Dustin Delaney, who coached for three years at Emporia High School.

Girls Swim Team Wins State for the Fourth Year

The girls’ swim team was proud to win a fourth straight state title, leaving the seniors with an undefeated high school record. Freshman Bonnie Longan also broke the school 100 backstroke record to win her race.

Dustin Delaney was announced to replace Chip Sherman as the East football coach on Friday, May 17. He will be introduced to the players at a meeting in the gym at 2:40 p.m. tonight.

Girls’ Soccer Advances to Regional Finals

The girls’ soccer team will play Blue Valley North in the regional finals on Friday, May 17 after beating Shawnee Mission North 4-0. Senior Addison Steiner scored two goals and became the second most all-time goal scorer in a season with 23 goals.
