Forensics Results for March 22 – 23

East’s forensics team competed over the weekend at the National Catholic Forensics League regional tournament, qualifying 13 students to the national competition over the summer. East also competed at SM North, sending one student to State.

Updated: Junior Grace Pickell Goes to Nationals for High Jump

After winning state with a jump of five feet and ten and a half inches, junior Grace Pickell will jump at nationals today at 6:30. If she reaches six feet, then she will qualify for the Olympic trials and if she places in the top four than she will qualify for the Junior Olympics in Spain.

Seven members of the East Debate and Forensics squad will travel to the National Forensics Tournament in Indianapolis, Indiana next week to compete in speech, interpretation and debate events. This year hosts the youngest group with two freshmen, three sophomores and only one junior and senior.
