The Lancer Track and Field Team is using this week to gear up for the annual Kansas Relays Meet. East has qualified 22 athletes, all of these athletes with the exception of a short number will be running in several events throughout the weekend. He underwent chemotherapy, radiation treatment and many other treatments througout the summer and into the fall of last year. On Thursday evening Sherman underwent scans to check his body for the cancer cells. Friday afternoon his test results came back clear, meaning that he had beat the cancer for the now.
