Spring Break with the Harbinger

Take a buddy pic with a Harbinger at your Spring Break destination, send it to smeharbingeronline@gmail.com with “Spring Break” in the subject line and your name in the e-mail text with the photo attached, and become eligible to win a free pizza, delivered to the cafeteria during the winner’s lunch period. The winning photo – judged by a majority vote of the Harbinger Online Staff based on creativity, location, and position of the Harbinger – will be published on the Mixed page of Issue 14, coming out on April 12. A biography of the entrant will be published Online alongside the winning photo.

All entries will be published on smeharbinger.net on March 25. They will also be published within a Facebook album on the Harbinger’s fan page.

If you would like your photo judged but not published on smeharbinger.net, Facebook, or both, please clearly specify your request in your e-mail.

Entrants must be currently enrolled Shawnee Mission East students. All other entrant’s submissions will not be published or considered for the prize.

By submitting a photo, the entrant allows said photo to be republished on the Internet or in the print publication of the Harbinger. Entrants must submit photographs. Illustrations or Photoshopped images will not be published or considered for the prize. All submitted photographs must be an image of the entrant. Entrants are responsible in the event of privacy violations of other individuals in submitted photographs. All photos containing illegal substances (such as drugs or alcohol, as per American law) will not be published or considered for the prize.

The Harbinger is the exclusive student-run news program for Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village, KS. Staffed by approximately 60 dedicated super-students and overseen by advisor C. Dow Tate, its online and print publications have won numerous national awards.
