The girls’ golf team has usually been known for their abundant number of upperclassmen. This year is different. The team graduated five seniors and is finding it a little bit more difficult to compete with the top teams. The Varsity team consists of one junior and four underclassmen. The young team brings hope for the future. The Lancers finished third at state last year and plan to do as well this year.

On Monday, August 29, Meadowbrook Country Club was crowded with golfers. The Lancers hosted the East Invitational. Ten teams (53 players) played in the tournament. The Lancers took fourth (with a total team score of 352) followed by Olathe Northwest, St. Thomas Aquinas and Blue Valley North respectively.
