Boys Tennis Wins League

It was a hot and humid Thursday afternoon as the Lancers took the courts at Harmon Park on their home concrete. Led by senior P.J. Guigon and junior Sam Amrein, the boys guided the team through a series of brutal matches on the way to the top taking the league gold. With regionals next week, the league championship was a big win for the team.

“We started the season a bit shaky, but we’ve really started to bring it all together”, Amrein said.” “The team hasn’t been as strong as seasons past, but we’ve kept improving and we have a good shot at the state championship.”

East was dominant in doubles play thanks to the combination of Guigon and freshman Jake Glazer. South spoiled the sweep of the Lancer’s dominant day by winning a singles match but was other wise uncompetitive.

Regionals will be played starting next week on the 8th at Harmon Park.

This is my fourth and final year of Harbinger, and I've finally made it to the top: Co-Editor and Chief. I'm excited to work with a new staff, and keep the Harbinger Online progressing as the year goes on. Make sure to look through all the sections of the site because we have really tremendous content! Along with being on staff, this is my third year playing varsity football, and my second playing varsity lacrosse. It gets hectic sometimes, but it keeps me balanced.
