Boys’ Basketball Preview: Leavenworth

By

After a loss on Tuesday, the boys’ varsity basketball team is motivated to get back on track for their game tonight against Leavenworth. This was their first loss after winning five games in a row.

Tonight is the last home game of the regular season, and depending on substrate seeding, could be the last home game for the rest of the year. Winning this game is also important for placement in who they will be against in sub-state. To ensure a win, varsity has been working on-ball defense and zone offense.

Not only is there a varsity girls’ and boys’ game, but tonight is also senior night. Senior Alex Glazer is staying positive after their previous loss because he believes they can overcome it.

“I feel confident going into the game because it’s senior night,” Glazer said. “Everyone will be motivated to come out with a win.”
Three of the eight spots for a home game are open for sub-state, so every game matters. Come cheer on the varsity team tonight at 7, and if you can’t make it out, tune into smeharbinger.net for the live broadcast.
