Police Apprehend Suspects in Burglaries

A vehicle matching police reports related to a wave of recent thefts was pulled over and searched in the junior parking lot early Monday. The two passengers were believed to be a part of an out-of-state group of criminals who have been known to travel around committing crimes and burglaries for both resale and personal gain before returning to their state.

A total of five police cars, including an Olathe Police Department cruiser carrying a drug dog, blocked the entrance of the junior parking lot while the car was searched for stolen items and the passengers waited handcuffed on the curb. Since the incident was not related to East, Dr. Krawitz knows nothing more at this time.

“The police told us none of the items reported as stolen were found in the vehicle,” Dr. Krawitz said. “But I can suspect it kept a few juniors from leaving for lunch.”
