Olathe East will be down a man going into tonight’s game.

Sophomore Forward Daniel Donnelly was kicked in the head going for a rebound in the first game of the evening, according to varsity head coach Jim Super, which may have resulted in a concussion. Donnelly, fighting to stay awake, was soon carried to an ambulance.

“We saw him sitting on a bench, towel around his neck, holding his head,” SM East varsity senior Chris Heady said. “Next thing we knew he was being carried out on a stretcher.”

The Olathe and SM East varsity squads face off at 7:20 p.m. tonight.
