Mock Trial Takes Third At State

The East State Mock Trial team placed third this past weekend. The annual tournament took place at the Shawnee County Courthouse in Topeka. Senior Ali Dastjerdi won the attorney award for Best Opening Statement and Closing Argument, and junior Spencer Mitchell won the Best Witness award. The six member team consisted of seniors Jeff Larrabee, Ali Dastjerdi, Peter Moriarty and Molly Pratt and juniors Jack Eddy and Spencer Mitchell.
