Coalition Shows Movie to Benefit Charity

After school today SME Coalition is hosting a Holiday Movie party. They will be showing “Elf” free of charge, although there is a suggested donation of $3. In addition to the film, free food will be provided. The club is raising money for the foundation Doctors Without Borders.

Doctors Without Borders is an organization that sends medics to third world countries that lack medical care and struggle with ongoing medical issues. The organization does not receive money from the government or take money from businesses that conflict with the goals of medical or humanitarian work.

”We thought because of the recent outbreak of Ebola that Doctors Without Borders would benefit from some donations.” Coalition Executive Emma Matthews said.

The donations from the party will directly benefit Doctors Without Borders. If interested in participating, go to room 309 after school to watch the movie.
