Mission Valley Hosts Farewell Program

On Thursday Mission Valley Middle School will be the setting for a Farewell Evening Program organized by the PTA. The program will celebrate the history of the school. Mission Valley, formerly known as Meadowbrook Junior High School, opened in 1958.

“This event is a great idea to memorialize all of the events and accomplishments over the years at that wonderful middle school,” said senior Alex Rorie, who attended Mission Valley.

There will be live music put on by current students, a scholastic book sale in the library, a designated picture area, student projects in classrooms, games on the south side and videos regarding the experiences over the decades. Families, teachers, alumni, current students and the community are welcome to attend the program which will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
