Lobster Landing to be Held Over Weekend

The annual Lobster Landing pick up is to take place on the fourth floor counseling hallway on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 9 a.m. This fundraiser has been taking place for nearly 40 years, as a way to provide scholarships for students who want to take part in study abroad programs.

Plenty of East families have been ordering the lobster for decades, even long after their students have graduated. The International Club is in charge of the funds for scholarships and covers the expenses for international students that attend East. International club pays for caps, gowns, photos, dance tickets, yearbooks, just for the International students.

The visiting students also get to have holiday celebrations hosted by the International Club that encompass the variety of religion the students have, largely because of the money collected from Lobster Landing.  As one of East’s biggest fundraisers, it provides a great opportunity to support International students.
