Q: When did you get into art?

A: I’ve kind of been into it since I first could draw. But I guess I took it seriously around fifth or sixth grade.

Q: What made you start then?

A: It was sort of just the books that I was reading. Like Harry Potter and stuff. I got really into that so I started drawing stuff from that because it was cool.

Q: What are your inspirations?

A: The art teachers at this school are pretty cool. It can be things I see. If I watch a show or read a book and something in that is really interesting to me, I’ll draw it or use it as inspiration to make something else.

Q: Tell me about your art.

A: I draw a lot of animals and I sort of like drawing dragons and mythical creatures and stuff. It’s kind of fun to kind of invent different animals and see what you can do with that.

Q: What do you consider finished piece?

A: Just sort of spending a lot of time on it, and putting a lot more details in it. I don’t usually put a bunch of details in but I don’t do a bunch of planning which is what I would consider a thing. It’s just sort of whatever I’m feeling, I’ll sketch it out.

Q: What about any of your friends?

A: Yeah, quite of few of my friends actually are into that.

Q: How much time do you spend drawing a day?

A: I do a lot of doodling in class but drawing on my own just for the sake of it, from 30 minutes to an hour. It kind of depends on how inspired I’m feeling I guess.
