Haraughty’s future in SMSD discussed at board meeting

Former teacher Ryan Haraughty’s release from employment at Mission Valley Middle School for inapproapriate jokes ignited a protest amongst a group of former students and parents to reinstate Haraughty in his former job. On Monday, Jan. 25, the Shawnee Mission Board met in the East cafeteria to discuss the situation as well as on-going protests. The video below includes highlights of the meeting, an exclusive interview with Haraughty, and clips of the protest outside East before the meeting.
