Gallery: Lancer Day Parade

For the biggest tradition of the school year, students from various activities dressed up and marched in a parade down Mission Road starting at 1 p.m. Each activity and class had a float and chose an occupation to dress up and decorate for to go with this year’s theme: “Lancers on the Job”. When the parade reached The Village Shops, the student body had a pep rally run by the senior Pep Execs. Student Body President senior Ingrid Blacketer, Principal Jason Peres and the Mayor of Prairie Village Eric Mikkelson all spoke at the pep rally, along with senior Pep Execs Sophia Beedle, Cole Chinnock, Maggie Condon Annabelle Covell, Brady Haughton and Porter Stein.

Following the parade, the Lancers will play Topeka Seaman High School in their first home football game of the season at 7 p.m. at SM South. The theme for the game is Blue-out.
