Gallery: Jazz Band’s Fall Concert

East’s Jazz Band held their Fall Concert on Wednesday, Sept. 25. The concert featured the Blue Notes, Blue Knights Jazz Combo and Blue Knights. The Blue Notes played “Blackstone Blues” with solos by junior Andrew Bennett on the trumpet and junior Felipe Fernandes Senkowski on the trombone, “Honeysuckle Rose” with solos by senior Keira Schneider on the trumpet, freshman Akbar Khan on the piano and freshman Evan Maxwell on the drums and “Caldonia” with solos by senior Ethan Burkhart on the tenor saxophone and sophomore Christian Tippie on the trumpet.

The Blue Knight Jazz Combo’s music was announced on stage. They played “L.B.C” and “Song For My Father”. The Blue Knights played “Don’t get Sassy” with solos by junior Nash Ohlund on the piano and junior Eli Moon on the alto saxophone, “One for Daddy-O” with solos by senior Ash Hattrup on the trumpet, junior Eli Moon, sophomore Truman Harber on the trumpet and junior Nash Ohlund, “Maya’s Mood” with solos by senior Owen Pieters on the trumpet and junior Eli Moon, “In a Sentimental Mood” with a solo by senior Brennen Barnes on the tenor saxophone and and “Jumpin’ at the Woodside” with solos by junior Nash Ohlund, senior Brennen Barnes, sophomore Truman Harber, junior William Barcus on the trombone, junior Roman DeMarco on the drums and sophomore Reagan Schneider on the bass.

The band’s next performance will be a Marching Concert on Monday, Sept. 30 at SM South at 5 p.m.
