Gallery: First Week of Baseball Practice

Baseball practice began before spring break, after 3 days of tryouts. The C team, JV and varsity, were chosen after cuts on the last day. The players hit in the cages and took grounders and pop flies for tryouts to show what they had. At practice C and D team were sent to Indian Hills to practice while JV and varsity practiced at East. JV and varsity have been taking the field going through possible situations during a game. The players also had some live pitching to hit off of during the first few days.

Junior Nick Wohler says, “I look forward to the state tournament because that’s what we play for all season and work our way up to. I think we can keep our title from last years championship this year. It’s our goal.”
