Gallery: Chamber Choir

The chamber choir at Shawnee Mission East is composed of 24 people, and every day they practice for two class hours out of the day. They take choraliers and chambers, which is required if you are on chambers choir. This year they are singing Minuet, Water, a set of three Emily Dickinson pieces, Je Le Vous Diray, and The Girl from Ipanema for their concert, which is on Wednesday, October 5th. The whole choir has gigs from time to time, at events and every other year, they get to go with the choraliers to a trip in a location in Europe and perform at certain places. “Chambers is such an amazing experience because we get to learn challenging and beautiful music and form very tight bonds. It’s a phenomenal opportunity.”chambers choir singer, senior, Kylie Ledford.
