Gallery: Lancer Day Parade

During the annual Lancer Day Parade, students marched from the East parking lot to a pep rally in the Prairie Village shopping center. The Lancer Day Parade was held on Friday, Sept. 2 before the first home football game of the year, against Olathe South. Students rode and walked alongside floats made by clubs, sports and classes. At the pep rally, Prairie Village Mayor Laura Wassmer appointed Student Body President Mazie Brooke the honorary mayor of “Lancer Village” for the day. Senior yell leader Brayten Bowers led the student body in cheers with the help of drum line musician junior Siddharth Choudhury. Senior football captain Eli McDonald closed the pep rally by asking everyone to show support at the game that night.
