Advanced Placement (AP) is an honors program at East which offers sophomores, juniors and seniors the opportunity to receive college credit in their classes. There are 34 AP courses overall involving sciences, languages, arts, math and social studies. These classes are taught at the college level and aim to prepare students for college. College credit can be earned by signing up on college now or taking the AP test at the end of the school year and receiving a three or above. Teachers in the AP program are specifically trained to teach in AP.
