At tryouts on Monday, April 30, 16 girls were selected to be a part of the JV cheerleading squad. The team was chosen by a panel of eight judges. The JV captains will be chosen at a meeting on Wednesday, May 2nd.

The 2012-2013 Varsity Lancer Cheerleaders were decided on Monday, April 30 by a panel of eight judges. The team includes 26 girls and will be coached by Lindsey Haymond. Varsity captains will be decided on Thursday, May 2.

Junior Grace Pickell wipes her sweaty palms on the Adidas spandex track uniform. She takes her mark, jumps and lands. While she lays flat on her back she gets up nervously to check the height. Her eyes are fixated on the bar-at 5 feet 8 inches. This was the highest she had ever jumped.
