The football team will be beginning their playoff run against the Olathe East Hawks at the College Boulevard Athletic Complex while the boys’ soccer team will take on Washburn-Rural in the semifinals of 6A State semifinal at CBAC as well. The Lancers fans will be torn between both games as they both begin at 7 p.m.

Football defeated SM North Friday advancing to the first round in playoffs, while soccer looks to go deep into the playoffs, defeating BV West Thursday and clinching a spot in the state quarterfinals.
The Lancers defeated the Indians 48-14 to secure a spot in the state tournament.

The Lancer football team will be facing off against the Shawnee Mission North Indians this week. The Lancers are currently 6-2 and North is 0-8. According to the Kansas State High School Activities Association, East is already guaranteed to advance to the playoffs.
