After school today from 1-3 p.m. sophomore Student Council (StuCo) will be hosting a volleyball tournament in the main gym. It will consist of teams made up of seven to ten players with each participant paying an entry fee of $5. All funds will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City.
“We want a really big turn out,” sophomore class president Matthew Trecek said. “And since it’s going to be for charity, I think people will have fun playing volleyball while also helping other people.”
Sophomore StuCo hopes to motivate players by awarding student store coupons to the winning team and serving doughnuts.
“Our team consists of all the reject volleyball players of the senior class,” senior Hannah Ream said. “Everyone has experience, so we’re hoping to do well.”
