Breaking News: Republican Caucus at SME

From the side doors to the back of the senior lot, the public gathered at SME from 10 am to 2 pm to represent the Republican candidate of their choice.

“Elected officials have an enormous impact on the kind of country we have,” senior Worth Blackman said. “As someone who is getting ready to go to college, I am looking towards the future, and this election will influence the world I will enter into as a working adult.”

Cruz won the caucus by a wide margin with 48.2 percent of the votes. This outnumbered Trump’s votes at 23.8 percent.

Sanders won the democratic caucus held at Roeland Park Dome and won 67.7 percent of the ballot.
