Boys’ Soccer Falls in KAMO Championship

The boys’ soccer team fell 0-1 to Blue Valley North (BVN) in the KAMO championships on Thursday, Sept. 12. BVN was able to score within the last 10 minutes to secure a victory at the Blue Valley District Athletic Complex.

The team had beaten Schlage High School 10-0 in a mercy ruling game during the first round of the tournament. The Lancers moved to the championships after beating Park Hill South 3-1. Seniors Dylan Martz and Andrew McClanahan scored the three goals, with Martz scoring the first two.

For the past two years, East has won the tournament. Although it is a disappointment, the team hopes to move on prepare for their next game on Monday, Sept. 16 against SM Northwest at the SM Soccer Complex.
