The forensics squad placed second in sweepstakes out of 29 schools in the 6A division at the state tournament this weekend at Olathe Northwest. Each school is allowed 16 entries at state. Of East’s 16 entries, 11 advanced to semi-finals and seven advanced to finals.

The 11th annual Prairie Village Earth Fair saw thousands of visitors, young and old alike. Attractions included Cultivate Kansas City, Environmental Club booths and interactive presentations, animals and vendors.
