The University of Texas is a perfect example going 13-12 in football for the last two season while also spending the most money at 133.7 million dollars a year.

The Lancer Track and Field Team is using this week to gear up for the annual Kansas Relays Meet. East has qualified 22 athletes, all of these athletes with the exception of a short number will be running in several events throughout the weekend. The relays will take place Friday and Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Lawrence.

Tuesday afternoon the Boys and Girls Track and Field team opened their season with their only home meet of the season. Both teams were able to win the 54th SME Quad by large margins. Other teams that competed were Shawnee Mission West, Sait Thomas Aquinas and Topeka High School.
