Krakow’s Spring Break Playlist

Whether you will be relaxing on the beach at SMEgrove, braving the spring ski slopes or just praying for a snow-free week at home, Spring Break 2014 begs for new music.

Bodies – Savoir Adore
This is the only song I have heard from this band. It aligns with a lot of other indie bands I like. They sound a bit like the Mowgli’s or Grouplove. If you need something that’s boppy and sunny, add this rythm to your playlist right away.

A Case of You – James Blake
You might wanting to save this sweeping and melodic piano song for a rainy day. While Blake’s voice will grab you and shake you, it’s not for a jog or a evening on the beach. This song is emotional, but that’s what makes it good.

Marilyn Monroe – Pharrell Williams
I don’t usually like popular music, or rap music but I can’t lie to myself. Parrell’s new album is bumping and Marilyn Monroe is one of the best. This song flows and is easy listening for just about anyone.

Weight Of Living, Pt. II – Bastille
This song is intense, and you’ll be pumped up while you listen. Roll down your windows, cruise down Mission and crank this jam–loud.

True Loves – Hooray For Earth
I used to listen to this band all the time. Half electronic, half indie, Hooray For Earth has such a cool sound that combines vintage rythms and new age synth.

If I Were Free – Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros
This seven-member band is folksy and just so incrediblhy satisying. WHile I reccomend seeing them live for the best experience on your ears, this song will sustain you until they come back in town.

Odyssey – The Wyld
If you heard any of the McDonald’s commercials during the Olympics, the catchy chorus of this part-rap song bumps in the background of them.
